Privacy Policy
Effective: May 9, 2026
The short version
We collect minimal data. We don't sell or rent your information. We use Google Analytics for traffic measurement and Google AdSense for advertising — both involve standard cookie-based tracking covered below. If you contact us by email, we use your email only to reply.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, message content). We use this only to respond to your inquiry and to follow up if needed.
Information collected automatically

- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Referring URL (the page you came from)
- Pages visited on Policy65 and time spent on each
- Click events on links and interactive elements
- Standard cookie data (session cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies)
Service providers and tracking technologies
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic and reader behavior. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your interactions with the site. The data is aggregated and de-identified at the level we view it. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
We display advertising via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant advertising and to measure ad performance. AdSense may use a personalized advertising cookie based on your prior browsing activity. You can manage personalized advertising preferences through Google's Ad Settings page.
We've configured AdSense to operate without auto-ads — meaning ads only appear in specific designated slots within our pages, not auto-injected throughout the content.
Affiliate tracking
When you click outbound links to our affiliate partners (e.g., licensed agent comparison services), the destination site may set cookies to track that you arrived from Policy65. These cookies allow our partners to credit our referral if you complete a transaction. The cookies are placed by the destination site, not by Policy65 directly.
How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries and provide editorial support
- To improve site content and user experience based on aggregated traffic data
- To deliver advertising through Google AdSense
- To track affiliate referrals through partner systems
- To comply with legal obligations
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information
- We do not share email addresses or contact information with third parties for marketing purposes
- We do not require email signup or registration to access content
- We do not use the information you submit through contact forms for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry
Cookies
Cookies in use on Policy65 fall into three categories:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to function
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics, used for traffic measurement
- Advertising cookies: Google AdSense, used for ad delivery and measurement
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable analytics or advertising cookies, the site will continue to function normally — you'll just see less relevant advertising.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what information is collected about them, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Policy65 does not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do share certain information with advertising partners as part of standard ad-serving operations; California residents can opt out of this sharing by emailing privacy@policy65.com or by adjusting browser-level controls (Global Privacy Control signal is honored).
EU/UK residents (GDPR)
If you're located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@policy65.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
The legal basis for our processing is generally legitimate interest (operating an editorial publication and serving advertising) or consent (where applicable, such as for analytics and advertising cookies in the EEA/UK).
Data retention
We retain email correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period (typically 12 months). Aggregated analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default settings (currently 14 months for user-level data). Advertising cookie data follows Google AdSense's standard retention policies.
Children
Policy65 is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact privacy@policy65.com so we can delete it.
Security
We use standard security practices to protect the information we collect, including HTTPS encryption for all site traffic and access controls on our backend systems. No security system is perfect, but we work to follow industry-standard practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent update. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage for at least 30 days following the change.
